Acronis isn't the best at interface design, so it may be hard to find. There is an option to change the schedule in the True Image interface that I'm using. Others may want a more comprehensive approach. For system restore, I tried various software programs, and currently default to having a reliable boot disk to restore the operating system along with copies of installation files for programs that would need to be installed again if system needs rebuilding on a new machine/drive. ![]() Many file backup programs do not perform system restore backup. That takes a different approach (and is harder to test to be sure it is working). Providing for a system restore ("bare metal restore" to a new drive or new computer) needs more than just copied files. That deals with common and potentially serious losses. Backing up files provides redundancy to restore data/images/etc. ![]() System backup (often called system image). For you C drive in particular, "backup" has two components that are not the same: 1. ![]() Be clear about the adverse events you want to address.
